UPCOMING EVENTS:
As you might already know, PAWS events are not just a lot
of fun for the whole family and all walks of life, but also
one of the main sources of funds to maintain the animals out
at the center.
These events are all organized by PAWS staff, however, many
resources as well as the talent behind each event comes from
our own volunteers. These include venues, actors & actresses,
stands, and donated food.
Of course it goes without saying that all the proceeds go
to help the animals - abandoned & unwanted dogs and cats
in the area.
We encourage you to take part in these events, and ideally,
assist us in finding a good home for these animals that just
want one more chance...
The Paws Shop
starts on Tuesday the 16th of March. Clothing, shoes, bags, bric a brac etc for
just €1.Come and bag a bargain. The sale will be followed by the Spring
Collection.
Animal Awareness Week
PAWS celebrated World Animal Awareness Week with a series of public events and fundraisers to bring awareness to the cause of animal welfare.
The dogs really enjoyed the outing, with several dogs from the PAWS shelter sporting yellow coats which read “I Need a Home”

The Sponsored Walk raised €990. Along with the Cat Fair (€950) and several other events, the total raised during the week (excluding the Fashion Show ... see below) was a splendid €3.089
The Fashion Show
The Grand Finale of Animal Awareness Week was the annual PAWS Fashion Show. Held this year in Mojácar's Artesan Centre, it was generally thought to be the most spectacular one yet!
From an opening blast of Born to be Wild from Easy Rider, complete with motorbike roaring on stage, thirteen models strutted their stuff on the catwalk. Many of the Designer items were auctioned after the show. The show (plus raffle, donations and bar profits) raised €1.990 (with some contributions still to come).
PAWS would like to thank the Ayuntamiento de Mojácar for the use of the centre and for their extremely generous donation.

1.30pm - on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (new) Friday and Saturday.
PAWS For terrific bargains on clothes, bric a brac, household items, books and a
whole lot more, come down to the Paws Charity Shop.
As a new special attraction there is a ‘designer label’ rail with items of great quality at credit-crunch prices.
Donations of larger items,
Paws regret that we can only accept items that will fit into a standard car boot
due to lack of space. Larger items can be advertised for a small fee on our
notice board.
